Poppe's Kitchen
Poppe is our own David DeRouen who developed his talent for cooking in the heartland of cajun country in New Iberia, Louisiana where he was born and raised. His love for cooking began at an early age where authentic cajun recipes were passed down from generation to generation. His family grew produce that many of the famous Louisiana companies would buy. Tabasco peppers were sold to McIlhenny Co. and okra was sold to Trappey's Fine Foods. This led to his love for gardening and growing his own vegetables and herbs to use in his cooking today. David is once again passing down his cooking and gardening skills to his own children and grandchildren. His daughter, Monica, and her son, Brandon process all of the jellies and pickled products offered by Poppe's Kitchen. They also are a vital part of the seeding and planting for our gardens.
